No better way to learn about the print shop then to get your hands dirty! Help us sort boxes of type into cabinets and learn how a working print shop is set up.

The Owyhee Nugget Print Shop is a fully operatinal job shop. Wedding annoucments, party invites, wanted posters or birthday celebrations?

Restore the Linotype
Owyhee Counties first linotype! Bought by Rodney Hawes in 1938 and printed many items for the Owyhee Nugget is now ready to work again, just needs some TLC. Help us get this machine going!

How You Can Help
Getting Involved
Become a Volunteer
It dosent take much, once or twice a week and you will have the hang of it. Learn the ways of a printer and help us teach the next generation how the paper was printed in Owyhee County.
Become an Apprentice
Do you have what it takes?! Learn from the master himself, Robert Schaffer. Start as a journymen and work your way up to running the shop!
Make a Donation
Donating to the Print Shop helps us contiune to buy paper, ink and supplies needed to run the shop.
