OCHS Field trips 2017

Here is our tentative schedule for 2017! If you have any suggestions, concerns, or comments, let us know!

May 20: Walking Tour of Historic Boise
Meet at the Capital Building at 10 am. Good walking shoes are required we will be walking approximately one mile on a guided tour of Downtown Boise featuring the History and Architecture of the buildings. Tour will include the Basque Block and last approximately an hour and a half. Lunch will be on your own after the tour. For More information Please Amy Johnson, Museum Director 208-495-2319

June 17:
Owyhee Dam tour with hopes of seeing the Glory Hole for the first time in several years. We will meet at Homedale High School at 9 am. Please bring a Pot Luck lunch. Contact Amy Johnson, Museum Director, for more information: 208-495-2319

July 21
Museum Open House and Ice Cream Social, 7 pm. The vaults will be open and available for viewing, Tour the New Building. Contact Amy Johnson, Museum Director 208- 495-2319

The 3 Forks of the Owyhee River Hike into the hot pools. Meet at Gem Stop in Marsing located at the corner of Hwy 95 and Hwy 55 at 9 am. High Clearance and low range vehicles required. Pot Luck Lunch for more information contact Wilbur Chitwood 208-463-7793.

October 14
Celebration Park Tours of petroglyphs, Guffy Bridge and Atlatl Throwing. Meet at the Park at 9:45 am Tours start at 10 Am Pot Luck Lunch Contact Amy Johnson, Museum Director 208-495-2319
